Watch: The Noah Factor

The Noah Factor

Jesus told the disciples that before He returned the earth would be as it was “in the days of Noah.”

While Noah was building the ark on dry land, his neighbors were laughing at what they believed were the efforts of a madman. They really didn’t care what that family of religious fanatics did because their lives were so evil and self-centered that God’s warnings were ignored.

One of the most vivid descriptions of total depravity is found in Genesis 6:5: “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”

In the days before the Flood, people were looking out for themselves, until that final hour when Noah’s family and their animal friends entered the ark. When the Flood came, the remaining citizens of earth had no dry ground or life rafts to rescue them. With their last drowning breaths, it was too late to ask God for mercy.

In summary, Jesus compared the Last Days to Noah’s time, where people ignored God’s warnings until it was too late. This serves as a reminder to take His words seriously and be prepared for His return.
